Biomedical sciences department is one of the four departments of school of pharmacy. The mission of the department is to create and disseminate knowledge through excellence in integrated biomedical research and education. We are committed to innovative education of professional and graduate students to become outstanding pharmacists and scientists. Faculty at the biomedical sciences has the goal of provide high quality education and training in the biomedical sciences to pharmacy students, as well as achieve and sustain excellence in Biomedical Sciences research.
Our objectives are to:
Develop teaching strategies that are appropriate to the cultural and educational diversity
Develop teaching strategies that are appropriate to the evolving classroom technology
Promote an educational environment that encourages critical, independent thinking, and lifelong learning
Students in our department learn and understand the normal and disease processes in human health through diversity of courses including pharmacology, infectious disease, hematology/oncology, nephrology, neurology, pulmonary, endocrinology, cardiology, endocrinology, dermatology, pharmacogenomics, and more.
